My girlfriend and I were in this secluded, small beach town called Playa Limon in the state of Oaxaca in 2016. An Ashtanga Yogi born and raised in Mexico City, she knew her way around the country and the HOT SPOTS.  Holiday Season ends around the third week of January in Mexico and after that the beaches clear out. I remember walking the streets the first morning in Limon and ordering a freshly sliced and squeezed to order smoothie from this local spot owned by Expats. When I smelled this pheno of BOP, it reminded me of this vacation. Around High Noon the same day we went swimming in one of the deserted beaches in the area. No life guards, no resort chairs. Just open sand and Ocean. I’ll never forget that moment when a giant rip tide came upon and pulled me under. PANIC struck in and the thought of death……
 
I remember crawling to shore, laying in the sand and spitting up water!!!! 
 
Relief….
 
Later that night we got in a huge fight over Jenga…
 
We night have had a little to much Mezcal…
 
NOTE: Did bring back some local seeds from the area that I did some Breeding with the Heart of Darkness. Still have some of the originals in the Vault!!!
 
As with most projects, I start with entirely WAY TOO MANY seeds and varietals of genetic hybrids. Im very calculated and specific when It comes to genetics from other breeders but with my own hybrids, a little more chaotic with this sense of WHY NOT - I got the seeds, just germinate them!!! While sexing plants for the BOP Project, I came across a plant with a tag labeled ‘27’. As soon as I grabbed it to bring closer for inspection this incredible lavender pedal sugar frosting aroma came over me. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!!!! I check the list and #27 is (Rainbow Beltz 3.0 x Zsunami) x Durban Sherbet ‘DS2k16’ Clone x Chem 4/91 BX3 F2.

IT’S A MALE…..
 
This will be the Seventh Durban Sherbet Breeding Project since the Original F1 Seeds made back in 2015 and only the 2nd Official Release. We found that Virgin Mermaid Outlier ‘DS2K16’ Cut from the F1 one stock in fall of 2016 and the moment of that time and place exists only as a genetic time stamp. These hybrids are the future of Durban Sherbet!!!
